Huff confirms WTCC title defence with ALL-INKL.COM Munnich Motorsport
World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff has confirmed that he will defend his FIA World Touring Car Championship title in 2013 behind the wheel of a Seat Leon with ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport, driving alongside René Münnich and Marc Basseng.
Huff, a five-time race-winner last term, en route to his first WTCC title with Chevrolet, will join the 2012 FIA GT1 World Championship winning team as they switch their focus to competing in the world’s premier saloon car championship for 2013.
Having claimed his first saloon car title in the SEAT Cupra Championship back in 2003, Huff is delighted that this exciting new venture with ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport will involve machinery from a manufacturer that propelled his racing career initially.
“I’m delighted to join René and Marc at ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport for 2013,” said Huff. “It is an exciting newly-formed WTCC project, but the team have a huge reputation having previously won the FIA GT1 World Championship in 2012.”
“I started my saloon car career racing in a SEAT, so it will be quite special to compete in the WTCC with the Leon and a team that carries the highest amount of professionalism. I’m very thankful for the opportunity that I have been given and I look forward to building on this this relationship.”
The FIA World Touring Car Championship will get underway at the world-famous Autodromo di Monza on 23/24 March.
